$1 Nyx @ Save on Foods!

That's right ladies! Nyx is having their annual overstock CLEARANCE SALE! Visit different Save on Foods location to check out their clearance bin/baskets! From what I know, these clearances do not happen at every location. The items on sale are overstocks from last year, to make room for new shipments they are pull off the shelf and specially labeled for clearance. So if you're lucky, you might, you just might, find a lot of Nyx's core collection on sale!

However, even if the selection in the bin is the same as what's on the shelf, do not mistaken that the products on the shelf is for clearance!

From my Save on Foods, there was a huge selection of pigments, blushes, and eyeshadow trios. There was some glitter jumbo sticks, lip liner, lip gloss, and diamond shine lipsticks as well. Given the color selection, I carefully picked out my purchase. At only $1 each, its easy to go overboard! >,<

What's happening in Vancouver!

Over this weekend I've been doing my usual round of window shopping. (Or not so window shopping anymore since I did buy stuff.) BUT it did started out as window shopping... Till I found some bargains that I just couldn't pass up!
First off, a new store opened up in my area:

At first I thought it was an actual branch of US's Target coming to Canada. I was sooo happy! Until I got inside.

This store is NOT related to the US's Target at all. All the clothing inside ... well, they're the usually boring clothing we can find in any other store.

OH of course, other than t-shirts like this:

Moving along: Walmart has a full display of these "Spa resource" brushes! I remember seeing the brand before but the brushes weren't as pretty as now. I haven't tried them before, but they look pretty similar to ELF's mineral collection? Do leave a comment if you have tried these brushes!

Last, at my local Winners I found some over stocks of Annabelle's special quads (at least that's how I'll be referring them!) These are from a previous promotion from a few months back and they come in two different packages. One is what I have below, lovely greens, yellow, and silver. The other (from what I remember) is a quad of darker blues, purple, and grey/black.

Annabelle's special quad: $7.99 +tax
You get:
1 custom eye quad, retail value: $5.25
4 eyeshadows, retail value: $4.25 each
- Misted Up, a satin silver
- Laguna, a blue teal
- Fun burst, a light goldish yellow
- Martian, a light olive green

The total retail value of this is $22.25 but even with tax I'm paying less than $2 per item! I am, of course, jumping up and down with happiness because this is a wonderful spring/summer quad and Annabelle has excellent quality for a drugstore brand.

Very very last of all, I saw this at London Drugs and I'm not sure should I be laughing or crying?

You're not mistaken folks, Sinful nail polishes selling at 2 for $7 like its the best price every!?!?!?

Laugh because of the ridiculous pricing
and cry because of the ridiculous pricing.

Sinful nail polish are less than $1.99 each in the states. To see it being sold for $3.99 each in Canada is like ... Ouch...

And so...

I've been debating for a while if I should be posting this or not because I feel pretty darn bad posting about my purchases or other funny things I've found with what's happening in Japan right now. I notice a lot of my favorite bloggers are still posting what they usually post about, so hey, life goes on right?

On to what I wanted to post about!

Recently I had the fortune to head down to the states with my family. It was actually a grocery trip. I live pretty close to the boarder so buying grocery and gas in the states is actually cheaper for my family! The only downside is the lineup at the boarder. But what's an hour or two compare to all the savings we get from gas, groceries, and my favorite makeup deals!

Our route usually goes: Costco, Wal-Mart, Target, Cost Cutter, Rite-Aid, and sometimes Home depot  and Walgreen... Honestly these are the only places we go.

So on this particular trip we stopped by at Target and ELF cosmetics were in stock! Last time I went to the states, this location did not have ELF in stock yet. So I was super excited!

I've been wanting to get my hands on these custom eye quads for a while. I have some eyeshadow that I want to depot to conserve space but haven't been able to bring myself to pay for the shipping nor splurge on more cosmetics just for the free shipping! Funny thing, that morning at Target the rack was bursting full of quads but by the time I returned there was only half left!

At the end of the day, these were the only items I bought.

From Target:
E.L.F: 1 shadow primer, 2 eye shadow, 2 hyper shine lipgloss, and 3 custom eye quads.

From Rite-Aid:
Physician's Formula BOGO 1/2: Happy Booster blush and Healthy Wear foundation w/ bonus bronzer! Duo end green concealer for red spots and Duo end yellow concealer for dark circles.
Loreal's lash booster pack: lash primer, mascara, & lash serum!

Blog managing & Prayers for Japan

I'm have a lot of problem with removing bloggers from my list. I remove them and the next day they reappear again! My list is filled with inactive blogs or blogs of which I'm no longer interested. Its always a sad thing to see creative bloggers go silent. I know life can be really tough at times and sacrifices must be made.

For one thing, I know things are really rough in Japan right now and all my prayers and best wishes goes out to everyone in Japan or has friends and family in Japan. I hope everything will get better soon.
